Tomahawk Conference releases All-Conference golf honors

The Tomahawk Conference officially announced its All-Conference golf awards on Thursday, with Sleepy Eye United’s Carson Erickson and New Ulm Cathedral’s Kayla Goblirsch being named the conference MVPs for boys’ and girls’ golf, respectively.

Goblirsch, Minnesota Valley Lutheran’s Abbie Riederer, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop’s Jenna Schweiss, Cedar Mountain’s Morgan Engholm and Keanna Hultquist, Sleepy Eye United’s Liz Schwint and GFW’s Marti Jacobson were named All-Conference for the girls. SEU’s Sam Price and Meriden Andres, Wabasso’s Chloe Rohlik and Cedar Mountain’s Teresa Larsen were Honorable Mention.

Joel Christianson of Cedar Mountain was named the Tomahawk Conference Girls’ Coach of the Year.

Erickson, MVL’s Ben Pearson, Cathedral’s Owen Strei, Springfield’s Christopher Thram, SEU’s Jacob Schultz and Sam Herzog, Cedar Mountain’s Black Schueller, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart’s Sawyer Melberg, Cathedral’s Joey Fingland and Springfield’s Carter Asmus all mad All-Conference for the boys. Wabasso’s Alex Miret and Jayden Goblish, Springfield’s Erik Davis, Cedar Mountain’s Ryan Kevelin and GFW’s Cole Jacobson were Honorable Mention.

SEU head coach Bryant Mages was named the Tomahawk Conference Boys’ Coach of the Year.
