Bockenstedt, Keckeisen combine for no-hitter as Brewers rout Lakers Friday night
HANSKA — The New Ulm Brewers cruised to an 18-0 win over the Hanska Lakers on Friday night in seven innings of a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game.
Mitch Bockenstedt and Sam Keckeisen combined for a seven-inning no-hitter.
Bockenstedt got the win in five innings of work, giving up no hits and two walks while striking out three. Keckeisen pitched two hitless innings in relief and struck out three without giving up a walk.
Brandon Peterson took the loss for the Lakers, pitching 2 2/3 innings and giving up 12 hits for 10 earned runs. He struck out one.
Hunter Ranweiler was 4 for 5 with a homer and two RBIs to lead New Ulm at the plate, while Cole Ranweiler was 4 for 5 with four RBIs and a double. Justin Hoffmann was 3 for 5 with a homer and five RBIs, while Trevor Nissen was 2 for 5 with a homer and four RBIs.
Jaden Domeier also was 2 for 2 for New Ulm.
