Mankato Nationals down Sleepy Eye

SLEEPY EYE — A 13-run second inning helped the Mankato Nationals down Sleepy Eye 17-3 in five innings of a first-round Division 1, Substate 2 legion baseball playoff game at Eagles Park on Wednesday.

Zander Dittman led the Nationals with a three-run homer and five RBIs total on two hits.

Sleepy Eye got three hits from Jackson Huiras and two from Arian Saenz in the loss.

Sleepy Eye now falls to the elimination bracket and will take on Jordan at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Sleepy Eye.
