Courtland takes down Searles Sunday night

COURTLAND — The Courtland Cubs topped the Searles Grizzlies 12-8 on Sunday night in Tomahawk East League amateur baseball action.

Chase Meyer led the Cubs with three hits and four RBIs, while Jackson Bode had a pair of doubles and took two walks. Meyer also got the win on the mound, going five innings and allowing two runs on four hits while fanning four. Hunter Johnson also hit a grand slam for the Cubs.

Teagan Kamm pitched four innings for Courtland and gave up two hits and no runs.
