Domeier named Tomahawk Player of the Year

SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s junior Carson Domeier was named the Tomahawk Conference boys’ basketball Player of the Year.

Knights head coach Judd Walter was named the Coach of the Year by the conference also.

Joining Domeier on the team were St. Mary’s teammates Trent Steffensmeier and Kaleb Wait.

Completing the team were Minnesota Valley Lutheran’s Kyreis Harrison, New Ulm Cathedral’s Sam Knowles, Wabasso’s Will Carlson, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop’s Johnnie Ambrose, Springfield’s Mason Leonard, Cedar Mountain’s Caden Kleinschmidt, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart’s Braden McColley and Sleepy Eye’s Kegan Heiderscheidt.

Honorable mentions this year were MVL’s Leyton Brau, Cathedral’s Jevan Wilfahrt, Wabasso’s Isaac Kronback, GFW’s Dominic Henrichs and Damian Hopp, Springfield’s Brendon Buerkle and Cedar Mountain’s Dakota Pendleton.
