NEW ULM — Jace Addy recorded a hat trick as the New Ulm boys’ hockey team won its 12th straight game with a 7-0 win over Worthington Thursday night in a Big South Conference game.

A. J. Arneson, Noah Wilmes, Kadon Strong and Josh Gulden each added goals for the Eagles.

Addy, Gulden and Arneson each added two assists, with Wilmes and Strong each getting helpers.

New Ulm goaltender Kyle Esser faced just 14 Worthington shots and stopped them all.

Trojans goaltender Preston Thavixay had a busier night as he was peppered with 54 shots, stopping 47 of them.

The Eagles, now 12-0 in the conference and 12-2 overall, built a 2-0 lead on two Addy goals coming almost four minutes apart.

New Ulm, who led by that margin after the first period, outshot Worthington 22-5 in that first period.

Gulden’s goal at the 8:53 mark of the second period increased New Ulm’s lead to 3-0 before Arneson upped the lead to 4-0 at the 12:05 mark.

The Eagles held Worthington to only two shots on Esser in the second 17 minutes while firing 19 of their own.

Addy’s hat trick at the 4:31 mark of the third period moved New Ulm to a 5-0 lead.

Noah Wilmes’ score at 8:17 made it a 6-0 lead before Strong scored on a power play at the 15:37 mark to close out the scoring.

The Eagles put their 12-game winning streak on the line Saturday when they host Waseca at 11 a.m. at the New Ulm Civic Center.
