MORGAN — Cedar Mountain swept Minnesota Valley Lutheran 28-26, 25-19, 25-18 on Thursday in a Tomahawk Conference volleyball match.

Morgan Engholm had 19 set assists and two ace serves for the Cougars. Hailey Hollar had nine kills, 13 digs, four assists and three aces and Teresa Larsen had seven kills. Megan Sandgren had five kills and Nadia Meyers finished with five kills and four aces. Mykenna Vollmer finished with 10 digs, three kills and three aces.

St. Mary’s 3, GFW 1

SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s defeated Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop 25-22, 25-16, 24-26, 25-15 in a Tomahawk Conference volleyball match on Thursday.

Julia Schweiss had 14 kills for GFW and Brynn Busse finished with nine kills, 14 digs and 11 set assists. Hannah Thorsen had 15 set assists.

BLHS 3, Wabasso 2

HECTOR — Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart held off Wabasso 25-17, 21-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-7 on Thursday in a Tomahawk Conference volleyball match.

Avery Carlson had 27 digs and Bella Brand had 17 digs and 11 kills for the Rabbits. Kelsey Frank finished with 31 set assists and Halle Huhnerkoch had 16 digs and nine kills.

For the Mustangs, Allison Dornseif had 38 set assists and 11 digs and Katie Buboltz had 31 digs. Chloe Ufkes had 28 digs and nine kills and Tia Weispfenning had 11 kills. Rachel Kottke had nine kills and Emilie Hable finished with eight kills. Rylee Sabo finished with 15 digs and Hana Schroeder had 13 digs.

LCWM 3, Madelia 1

MADELIA — Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memoria defeated Madelia 25-8, 16-25, 25-21, 25-20 on Thursday in a Valley Conference volleyball match.

Brooke Lensing had seven kills and four digs to lead Madelia and Jada Taylor had six digs. Naomi Haedt finished with 16 set assists.

Southwest Christian 3, Sibley East 0

ARLINGTON — Southwest Christian defeated Sibley East 25-17, 25-16, 25-16 in a Minnesota River Conference volleyball match on Thursday.

Adeline Williams had 10 set assists for the Wolverines and Shanise Bates finished with five kills and two digs. Gabby Bates had five digs and Katrina Diaz had four digs. Molly Krentz had four kills.
