NEW ULM — New Ulm Blue defeated Mankato 11-8 on Tuesday in 16U softball action.

The game was tied 7-7 in the top of the seventh when Calyn Glaser doubled to give New Ulm the 8-7 lead. New Ulm held on the rest of the way. Megan Haala was 4 for 4 for New Ulm with three singles and a triple.

Karson Schmid started and lasted two innings, alloing five runs on five hits. She struck out three.
