SLEEPY EYE — Carter Brinkman and Jake Mielke each hit a grand slam and combined for nine RBIs as Sleepy Eye defeated Essig 17-6 on Sunday in a Tomahawk East League Amateur baseball game.

Brinkman was 2 for 4 with four runs and five RBIs and Mielke finished 2 for 4 with four RBIs. Alan Woitas was 2 for 5 with a triple, two RBIs and a stolen base for the Indians.

The Indians are 5-2 and host Hanska at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
