ESSIG — Searles defeated Essig 8-4 in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game on Wednesday.

Mark Schommer earned the win for Searles. He went four innings, struck out four, allowed six hits and allowed two runs.

David Krzmarzick allowed five runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings and took the loss for the Bluejays. He struck out two and walked five.

Mike Schlottman was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Searles and Justin Bruns was 2 for 4 with two RBIs.

Erich Prokosch was 2 for 4 with an RBI for Essig and Jay Helget was 2 for 5 with an RBI. Colton Gemmill was also 2 for 5.

Essig hosts Hanska on Sunday and Searles hosts Sleepy Eye on Sunday.
