Hanska rallies to beat Brewers
NEW ULM — The Hanska Lakers scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning and went on to top the Brewers 5-4 Thursday night in a Tomahawk East League game at Johnson Park.
Judd Davis led the Brewers (1-1) with four hits.
Zach Fischer had three hits for Hanska (3-0).
The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when Hanska’s Gabe Knowles drilled a Mitch Bockenstedt pitch over the fence in right field for a 1-0 lead.,
The Brewers came back in the bottom of the inning with two runs on two hits and two Lakers’ errors.
Hunter Ranweiler singled and stole second. He came home on a one out J.T. Hoffmann single with Hoffmann taking second on a throwing error.
Hoffmann then scored on a later Hanska error.
Hanska then pushed across four runs in the eighth inning.
Singles from Lucas Fredin, Kevin Larson, Eric Portner, Knowles and Zach Fischer gave Hanska a lead that they kept.
The Brewers got close in the home half of the eighth with two runs coming on RBI singles from Josh Seidl and a bases loaded walk to Judd Davis.
