Section 2A championship game moved to New Ulm High School

This game has been canceled by the Minnesota State High School League.

NEW ULM — Friday’s Section 2A boys’ basketball championship game between New Ulm Cathedral and Springfield has been moved to New Ulm High School.

Game time is 6 p.m. on Friday.

The decision was made late Thursday afternoon after the Minnesota State High School League issued a statement saying there would be limited fan participation at all section and state tournament games starting Friday. The New Ulm/Springfield game was originally supposed to be played at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Each school will provide a list of 90 people who can attend the games. No one else will be admitted into the games.
