New Ulm Civic Center will see plenty of hockey this weekend
NEW ULM — The New Ulm Civic Center will be very busy this weekend when it hosts both the Bantam B and PeeWee B state tournaments starting Friday and running through Sunday on both rinks.
Also, Saturday night will see the New Ulm Steel hosting Granite City at approximately 7:30 p.m. in Game 2 of the best-of-three opening round of the NA3HL West Division playoffs.
The Bantam B Tournament will begin Friday on the South Rink at 10 a.m. with Stillwater playing Grand Rapids followed by Mankato meeting Osseo-Maple Grove at noon. Wayzata will play Rochester Gold at 2 p.m. followed by Bagley meeting Minnetonka at 4 p.m.
The PeeWee B state tournament starts Friday at 10:30 a.m. on the North (regulation) sheet of ice with Mahtomedi meeting Grand Rapids followed at 12:30 with Buffalo Black playing Moorhead. Osseo-Maple Grove plays Sauk Rapids at 2:30 with North Shore playing White Bear Lake at 4:30 p.m
Play resumes on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on both rinks.
Tournament passes are $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Daily admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Children 10 and under are free.
In-servicemen (veterans/active duty) are also free. Minnesota Hockey will also provide live streaming broadcasts.

Fans going to the New Ulm Steel playoff game on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. are reminded that season tickets are not good for the playoff game.
