NEW ULM — Martin Luther College junior women’s basketball player Emily Witkowski was named Honorable Mention All-UMAC by the conference in Tuesday’s postseason awards release.

Witkowski earned the honor after averaging a team-high 13.3 points per game. She also ranked second on the team in rebounds per game (6.2) and steals (32).

Witkowski’s 13.3 points per game were good for ninth-best in the UMAC, while her 6.2 rebounds per game ranked just outside the top 10.

Following her junior campaign, Witkowski now ranks sixth all-time at MLC in both career points (841) and career 3-point field goals (94).

This is the second straight season in which Witkowski received honorable mention honors from the UMAC.

Cassandra Rose was named the MLC recipient of the Sportsmanship Award, given to one player on each team that best exemplifies sportsmanship during the season.
