FAIRFAX — Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop defeated Wabasso 65-44 on Friday in a Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game.
For GFW, Brynn Busse scored 29 points and Abby Heimkes scored 10 points.
Ally Fenger led Wabasso with 13 points.
Wabasso plays at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Red Rock Central. GFW (3-7) plays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Clair.
BLHS 85, Cathedral 23
HECTOR — Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart defeated New Ulm Cathedral on Friday in a Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game.
For BLHS, Sarah Kottke had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Rachel Kottke had 18 points and five assists and Maddy Wulkan had 11 points and four steals.
Cathedral’s Jenna Hotovec led the team scoring 7 points.
Cathedral plays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s. BLHS hosts Cedar Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye defeated Cedar Mountain 61-27 on Friday in a Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game.
The Indians were led by Kadence Hesse with 23 points, 10 steals and six rebounds, Kaydince Thoms with 9 points, four steals, five rebounds and three assists and Brittney Dittbenner with 9 points, two steals and two assists.
Megan Sandgren scored 11 points for Cedar Mountain.
Sleepy Eye (10-3, 4-3) plays at 7 p.m. on Monday in Wabasso.
