JACKSON — The New Ulm girls’ basketball team lost to Jackson County Central 86-71 in a Big South Conference Showcase game in Jackson on Saturday.

Nora Windschill led the Eagles with a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds. Kirsten Dennis added 18 points and Hannah Osborne finished with 6 points and nine rebounds, while both freshman Calyn Glaser and eighth-grader Natalie Bianchi scored the first varsity points of their careers.

The Eagles (0-3) are home against Fairmont on Thursday.
