• Goblirsch got her 2019-20 gymnastics season off to a fast start on Saturday at Austin. Goblirsch helped lead New Ulm to a second-place finish at the Austin Invite with a team score of 131.4.

• Goblirsch won the all-around with a score of 35.7. She took first on the balance beam (9.2), first on the vault (9.5), third on the floor exercise (8.75) and fourth on bars (8.25).

• “Kayla’s performance on a Saturday was a good showing for our first competition,” New Ulm gymnastics coach Kortney Peterson said. “She had a rock solid beam routine and jumped right back into the year with a flawless vault. She will once again be a top performer for the team.”
