LAKE CRYSTAL — Minnesota Valley Lutheran swept Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial 25-12, 25-17, 25-23 in a nonconference volleyball match on Monday.

Maddie Pearson led the Chargers with 23 set assists and he had eight digs and five aces. Teammate Mara Weisensel had 16 kills and five blocks and Emma Nelson finished the night with eight digs and nine kills.

MVL (8-3-1) is at Sleepy Eye High School on Thursday.

GRANITE FALLS — Yellow Medicine East swept Wabasso on Monday in nonconference volleyball. Halle Huhnerkoch had 11 digs, four aces and four kills for the Rabbits.
