SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye defeated Searles in Tomahawk East League amateur baseball action on Sunday.

For Sleepy Eye, Matt Mielke was 2 for 3 with an RBI and Jake Mielke was 2 for 2.

For Searles, Mike Schlottman was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI and Casey Lux was 2 for 5 with an RBI.

Alex Sellner pitched eight innings to earn the win. He struck out six and allowed three earned runs.

Nick Dewanz pitched five innings and took the loss. He gave up three runs on eight hits and he struck out four.
