MADELIA — Madelia’s Jared Henry shot a 43 as in a Valley Conference boys’ golf victory against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton on Thursday.

Jared Henry shot a 43 to lead Madelia and Colin Wihlm shot a 47. Cade Lunz (48) and Carson Wihlm (51) rounded out the scoring for the Madelia boys.

On the girls’ side, Jude Frelich shot a 62 to lead Madelia. Alayna Camplin shot a 66 and Faith Bergeman finished with a 67. Taylor Tierney shot a 78.

NICOLLET — Nicollet defeated Madelia in a Valley Conference baseball game on Thursday.

Riley Hulke, Ben Radke, and Anthony Macias all had three hits for the Raiders.

Radke earned the win for Nicollet. He went 3 2/3 innings and allowed three runs. He struck out six. Hulke struck out five in 3 1/3 innings.
