Look at the good Trump has accomplished

To the editor:

The letter to the editor in the Dec. 17th Journal points out some of the faults in President Trump’s remarks. Words mean everything and once spoken, they remain. We also need to look at the good he has done for our country, not just his remarks.

Ourselves, we are graduates of the University of Hard Knocks, learning to take people for what and who they are, and respecting their point of view. We do not like the personal remarks that come from Trump’s mouth, however, We voted for the Trump Administration, not for who he is, but for some of the following reasons:

#1 Voting for the First Amendment and freedom of speech.

#2 Voting for the Second amendment and the right to defend ourselves and our families and friends.

#3 Voting for Supreme Court justices to protect the Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

#4 Voting to bring back our troops from conflicts that have gone on for too many years

#5 Voting for the Electoral Collage and the Republic we live in.

#6 Voting for the federal judges who respect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

#7 Voting for the military and the veterans who fought for this country to give Americans freedom and to remain free.

#8 We are pro-life, voting to save unborn babies that have a right to live.

#9 Voting for the freedom of religion.

#10 Voting for the respect of the American flag.

#11 Voting for the right to speak and not be censored.

#12 We are not voting for one person, we are voting for the future of our country.

#13 We are voting for our children, our grandchildren, and our great grandchildren to ensure their freedom and their future.

For too long we have let our freedoms be taken away by legislators through laws or edicts that hamper our everyday life and it has slowed down the progress of the American “can do” attitude.

A quote that has been attributed to President Thomas Jefferson: A Government that give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have. What have you voted for?
