Reach out to representatives over Medicaid cuts
To the Editor:
We have very limited time to make a difference in our country. On behalf of Oak Hills Living Center and the broader community, we ask that you reach out to your congressional representatives by July 3 and inform them how crucial it is to object to the devastating cuts to Medicaid which are in the current budget bill under consideration in the U.S .House of Representatives. Medicaid, called Medical Assistance in Minnesota, serves about 1.3 million Minnesotans. It provides health coverage to low-income families and individuals, and long-term care for seniors and people with disabilities.
In order for your community nursing home, Oak Hills Living Center to provide critical services to your family and neighbors, this provision must be struck from the budget bill. A third of our population at Oak Hills has their care covered by the Medicaid program. This is a crucial safety net for these families.
Please contact Brad Finstad at 507-577-6151 and Michelle Fischbach at 320-403-6100.
Please make that call now.
Thank you for caring for your community.
