To the editor:

I’ve been thinking of the definition of a patriot and/or a hero. According to Webster a patriot is a person who loves their country and supports it. My addition even if means some loss for them. Hero: Person admired for their courage, outstanding qualities and achievements. Elon Musk has made billions off government contracts. Tried to cancel the Verizon so he could get a contract for his Starlink. He did not get paid per sa for DOGE but believe me he earned off that role. He did so much damage in such a short time which will take years to resolve.

My heroes: Rosa Parks, John Lewis, JFK, RFK, Audie Murphy, MLK, JR., Robert Dole, John McCain to name a few. My idea of patriots: Again Audie Murphy, JFK, RFK, Robert Dole, John McCain, John Lewis, Adam Kitzinger, Liz Cheney, and many more. Never would I associate Elon Musk with either of these words. I don’t take these words lightly.

Incidentally there is no record anywhere that Musk ever contacted Biden White House about the astronauts. The plan from Biden days was for them to return in Sept. It was a safety issue, NOT a political move. That doesn’t even make sense.
