100 days of chaos
To the editor:
After 100 days of chaos President Trumps Approval rating is 39% with 55% disapproval, 53% say the economy is worse since he took office, 62% say prices have risen, and 72% believe a recession is likely due to his policies. 65% say he is purposefully disregarding court orders, 64% say he is trying to expand his power too far, 62% say he has no respect for the rule of law, 56% say he has gone beyond his authority, and 55% say he is not protecting Americans freedoms. 53% disapprove of his handling of immigration, 57% disapprove of his managing of the Federal Government, 61% disapprove of his handling of the economy, 61% disapprove of his handling of U.S relations with other countries, 64% disapprove of his handling of tariffs, and 67% disapprove of the handling of the stock market. 77% oppose his reduction in funding for medical research, 70% disapprove of his attempt to have federal government involvement in private universities policies, 67% oppose ending birthright citizenship, 66% oppose shutting down the Department of Education, 62% oppose freezing foreign aid, and 61% oppose his cutting back environmental protections. These polling numbers are not just historically bad they are the worst ever for a President in his first 100 days. Factor in the final vote tallies from the last election among eligible voters, 31.78% voted for Trump, 30.84% voted for Harris, 1.06% voted third party, and 36.33% did not vote. Contrary to Trump’s assertions this was no mandate or landslide. Everyone who does not support this chaos needs to contact your Senators and Representatives expressing your disapproval. I would also urge you to become politically active now; rally and protest whenever possible, prior to next year’s midterm elections and vote out every single politician that continues to support this chaos.
