To the editor:

Several months ago I wrote a letter with my concerns about what was going to happen to our loved ones in nursing homes if Medicaid were to be cut. The unfortunate answer is looking as if it will be happening if the new administration gets its way.

It led me to think about the title of a 1987 movie with Billy Crystal and Danny DeVito called “Throw Momma from the Train.”

In 2025 (Why does that year sound so familiar?) the fractional and fractious 45/47 and his current fixer are hacking their way through what they ominously call the “deep state.” And in their apparent hatred for any policies that benefit average Americans, this duplicitous duo of destabilization and destruction are apparently on the verge of a sequel to “Throw Momma…” with their riotously funny “Throw Grandma from the Nursing Home.”

Do you think I jest? Do you think this is funny?

I do not…and it isn’t!
