Dear editor:

I recently read an article that spoke about Mr. Trump’s willingness to open various Federal lands to oil drilling. He also is said to be in support of drastically lessening automobile emission controls.

For me, these topics should not be a political arguing point. Follow the advice of botanists, ecologists, etc. Everyone who is a parent/grandparent should consider a healthy planet to be the best legacy to leave those next generations.

I want that for my four children and 10 grandchildren; and, I encourage them to hold the same values for future generations. It doesn’t matter what your politics are…. Help keep our environment safe for the future, please.

Vote for that.
