June is life month, not pride month

To the Editor

I was shocked to read on the front page of the June 2 issue of the New Ulm Journal about The Grand Kabaret celebrating June as pride month, with a queer exhibition. June is life month, not Pride Month. Let’s celebrate June 24 as the day Roe v Wade was overturned.

When will The Grand Kabaret invite Christians to display their artistry on pro-life issue? When can we submit our pictures showing what abortion really is, even partial birth abortion? Life month, June, would be a perfect time. Is it correct that you truly “want to show not just New Ulm but the entire surrounding community that as an art center, we are welcoming to and open to all creators and all voices?” If that is the case, I expect you to publicize a pro-life exhibit at The Kabaret within the next week.

Contrary to your designed outcome, most people in our town and the surrounding area do not support the LGBTQ+ ideology. We only tolerate it, but do not condone it.

No, New Ulm as a whole, does not welcome this kind of messaging. If individuals want to live a sinful life style, that is one thing. But to flaunt it to a Christian community is going too far. By the way, NU Chamber of Commerce, did you give the OK for this unchristian display at The Kabaret? Most of the New Ulm community would welcome a prolife display at The Kabaret.

It is true that, “All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” (Romans 8:23) As such we need to repent of our sins and seek the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. To intentionally live a life style contrary to God’s will, puts one’s soul at risk come Judgment Day.

In 2013, when Minnesota was debating the definition of marriage, homosexuals and lesbians asked to “just let us be married, and we will be happy.” Now you can see that it has gone much farther. Now almost every aspect of that life style is being promoted as the standard. Regardless, God’s word is still true. Marriage is a life-long union of one man and one woman, no matter what the LGBTQ+ individuals say and display.
