Let’s talk about abortion
To the editor:
It has become clear across our nation that the Democratic Party and its candidates prefer not to debate our nation’s main problems. They avoid discussing inflation, illegal aliens and the open border, high gas and food costs, rampant crime and calls to defund the police, students struggling in the classroom because of previous mandates and now pushing ideologies like CRT and transgender euphoria instead of teaching the basic subjects. Most of these problems are the result of democratic led policies.
Democrat candidates are running scared, so they are using the overturn of Roe VS Wade and the abortion issue in an attempt to gain votes at the November 8 election. So, let’s talk about abortion.
Here is the Democratic Party platform on abortion: “We believe unequivocally that every woman should be able to access high quality reproductive health care services, including safe and legal abortions.” Compare that with the Republican Party platform for life: “Until the abolition of abortion is achieved, we support laws that restrict and regulate abortion. Since life begins at fertilization, we urge the legislature to abolish abortion and immediately secure the rights to life.”
What is abortion? Abortion is the killing/murder of an unborn child. Everyone who has taken a biology class (science) knows that life begins at conception. The term fetus may salve one’s conscience, but abortion kills a baby. The Democratic Party platform even allows partial birth abortion, where the abortionist turns the child feet first, sometime severing limbs, uses a scissors to poke a hole in the baby’s head, sucks out the brains to shrink the head, and then delivers the child. Abortion is a gruesome, immoral procedure that is against God’s will for life. Even rape victims can put a child up for adoption.
Those of you thinking of voting for a democratic candidate should ask yourself, “Where would I be today if my parents chose to have an abortion?” You would have ended up in a dumpster or landfill. With this kind of disrespect for life, is it no wonder we have all of the killings and crime going on today?
When you go to vote, picture the “D” next to a candidate standing for “death,” or if the candidate is labeled DFL, it stands for “death for life.” I would encourage you to vote Republican. Our country and our lives, and the lives of unborn children, literally, depend on electing common sense individuals.
