To the editor:

New Ulm’s Own has recently concluded its fundraising effort to assist Ukrainian refugees. A second check for $3,000 was sent to the International Rescue Committee. In five months $6,000 was collected from our supporters! We are so proud to be part of such a generous, caring community. The International Rescue Committee is supporting Ukrainians in Poland and those in country who have lost their homes. They provide food, clothing, shelter, and counseling services.

Thank you to all who contributed to this effort and to The Journal for its coverage, Mike Mason for supplies, and Vicki and Karen Sieve and Deb Pribyl for creating the Ukrainian flags and suncatchers. May our spirit of generosity continue.
