Vote out incumbents on New Ulm School Board
To the editor:
We have a very important local election coming up on Nov. 8. There are three ISD #88 School Board members who are up for re-election. I’m writing to encourage every eligible voter in ISD 88 to get out and vote…and vote all of the incumbents out!
There are three great conservative candidates that are being brave and putting themselves out there to fight for your children. Each candidate brings their own unique qualities and the big thing that each of them will bring to the school board — common sense. They are all willing to listen and respond to their constituents. They will vote on things for the kids that will help them get back to the basics. back to learning.
I’m asking you to get to know these three names and to vote for them: Jo-ell Flitter, Gigi Rysdahl and Mike Thom. I personally know them all and these are the people that ISD 88 needs on the school board. People with good heads on their shoulders. People with good values and good morals.
Just a year ago, there was a school board meeting where the board was voting on whether to mandate masks on our healthy children for a second year in a row. There were hundreds of us that attended that meeting and all we asked of the school board was to allow for a choice, not a mandate. Two of the school board members that are now up for re-election in November (Groebner and Sunderman) voted against choice. They did not go with the majority of their constituents and what the majority of the parents wanted, which was simply a choice. They did not represent the voice of the people who elected them. That is something I have not forgotten and won’t forget when I go to vote — will you? Please vote those incumbents out.
Again, we need common sense brought back to this district. I strongly encourage you to vote out the incumbents and vote for Flitter, Rysdahl and Thom in November.
