To the editor:

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose” — Jim Elliot.

But he is a fool who thinks abortion is not a battle with God. Try explaining with pictures abortion to a child. If you can do that and not realize what you are condoning, then you really are a hardened individual.

I do not believe 80% of Americans favor killing preborn infants. We Americans have dealt with the judicial tyranny committed in 1973 for 50 years. We live in a republic where the people elect their representatives. The Supreme Court has sent the issue back to the states.

Unfortunately many people are unaware of this fact, because the mainstream media doesn’t tell its viewers the whole truth. Because we are a democratic republic, each state gets to vote into office representatives who will either allow abortion or deny it. There will be states whose governments will continue to allow abortion all the way through nine months of pregnancy.

Unlike Jim Elliot, who gave his life willingly, the person in the womb has his or hers taken without choice. But like Jim Elliot, each aborted person goes straight to Jesus, earth’s loss but Heaven’s gain, where he or she will live forever.
