Rebranded indoctrination continuing in schools

To the editor:

Sometimes when a new treatment for a physical problem is being piloted, there is a request put out for those who might want to be part of a study. It is considered unethical to do this without permission because all of the consequences for someone’s health are not known. The need for permission would especially be true if it were a study involving children.

One would think that receiving permission should certainly be mandatory if the study involves our children’s minds and way of thinking – their psychological and emotional mental health. There is a psychological experiment being piloted in our schools today, and children are being used as part of this study across our nation and in our own community without parents’ permission.

Seven states have banned critical race theory from schools, but that has not stopped the indoctrination process. An undercover interview showed that teachers in Idaho still use the ideas behind CRT ideology. They do it by rebranding and being able to adapt. They say it’s no problem to worm around laws and wishes of parents.

Since some parents caught on to the dangers of CRT, teachers in Idaho say it was easy to slip it in as social emotional learning (SEL). Now that parents understand that rebranding, teachers say that’s still no problem; it can be called mental health. Oh, and then there’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), yet another way to indoctrinate children in CRT which sounds innocuous on the surface.

This isn’t attributing false motives without evidence. Teachers themselves have said that this is how it is possible to pass their belief system on to children. The teachers union, Department of Education and other educational organizations are complicit in Minnesota.

Does this have anything to do with New Ulm ISD88? It does if the suggested rebranding is right here. Last September dangers of CRT were pointed out to the school board and then reported in our paper. The chairman of the board quickly responded by assuring us that there is no CRT in our schools. They also said they were not focusing on equity. A wall display which showed otherwise was removed.

Consider a headline in the April 17 New Ulm Journal: “Menthal health seen as key need in New Ulm schools.” A quote from the article: “Since the summer, the board and district principles worked with Longview Education to provide training in equitability…counseling and mental health went to the top of the priority list.”

Since the incident in St. Peter the school board feels it can go full steam ahead and implement CRT/SEL/mental health/equity without parents’ approval. But hold on! This experiment involves children whose parents have not given permission.
