Life conceived is great gift
To the editor:
The sacred place where life begins is there
Within a woman’s body, so beware.
Do not abuse this special place and kill
This life. It’s not up to you or your will.
Here is a distinct person. So behold,
It’s not your body. It’s love to enfold.
A new life’s growing in this special place;
Safe and surrounded by a soft, warm space,
And nurtured by the mother, in return
Who benefits from this small life’s concern.
To purposely destroy this life is sad.
It disbands motherhood and also dad.
The life conceived within is a great gift;
Unique, special, latent, but not adrift
