Young ones led astray

To the editor:

What happens to a garden left unattended? A beautiful patch with ordered rows of vegetables and flowers becomes overgrown with weeds, thorns, and thistles. When we leave our young children to monitor themselves regarding sexual identity and sexual options, we are setting them on a path of woe. Everyone knows someone who as a child wished he or she were the opposite sex. We must not allow the current sexually-immoral culture to adversely affect the hearts and souls of our precious male and female children, who like every human being, were made in the image of God. Life is hard enough without endorsing such confusion. Consider the motives of those representing the immoral sexual revolution. Why are they after our kids? We must not allow them to dictate the emotional and physical future of our offspring. Children are tender shoots, and we must carefully pull up the weeds around them and then prop them up with traditional stakes of wisdom, most obviously that at their conception, they were created male or female. We must strongly resist the culture and do the right thing – help youngsters see the greatness of who they are, who God created them to be. Finally, I am reminded of Scripture’s warning: there will be grave consequences for those who lead the young ones astray. See Matthew 18:6.
