Geography 101
To the editor:
I was pleased to see that the Vietnam veterans’ memorial will include a map of Southeast Asia. Veterans Square is destined to become a Geography Learning Station. In time, there could be maps of Europe, Korea, the Middle East, the Balkans — every country and region of the world where we’ve waged war. Maybe Twain was right: “God created war so that Americans would learn geography.”
