Are ethics being followed in the medical field?

To the editor:

I heard the recent news that Allina will be MANDATING all of their employees receive the Covid shot by 10/1/2021. I’m just wondering if they follow their own code of ethics? Do they have one?

If you go into the medical field, do you take an ethics class or get any training on it? I’ve read that they are not to FORCE a patient into anything. Look up the Jarvis commitment. It has to be signed off by a judge.

Yet, this employer is now FORCING, not giving their own employees a MEDICAL CHOICE on this. I find it funny that those in the medical field seem to not care about medical FREEDOM at all. If you are a current Allina employee and not happy about this, know that there are MANY of us that support you 100%. Go on strike, let them FIRE you, make your VOICE heard.

It’s not like we currently have a shortage of employees right now, right? What happens if 30% of the employees get fired for this? Will you be upset when you can’t get in to see your health care provider on a timely basis? Will you be upset when your loved ones who are patients there don’t get their breakfast until lunch time because of short staff? Will you be upset when the rooms don’t get cleaned because of short staff?

It’s not only the doctors and nurses that a medical facility needs, there are MANY MANY other positions that keep it running. There are many employees that are opposed to not having a CHOICE with what they want put into THEIR bodies. FREEDOM is not FREE!
