Leave what is God’s to God

To the editor:

In the April 16, 2021 issue of The Journal, Mr. Fluegge treated us to laundry list of his judgments regarding gender, equality, education, morality, the Bible, God’s views of humans, and much more. I will not waste the column space nor subject the readers to justification for my believing that it would be easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for someone like Mr. Fluegge to enter the gates of Heaven.

Safe to say, as a 62-year-old woman I have lived long enough to be sick to death of old white men telling others what to do with their bodies, when and how to reproduce, how to dress, how to identify, how to feel about their bodies (including genitalia), and how society should accept them. I would offer that Mr. Fluegge’s sexuality, morality, humanity and how God perceives his Christianity are what he should concentrate on. And since like most Conservative Christians I know, scripture is the cloak worn best, I offer Mr. Fluegge another message from God:

Matthew: 7

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
