Southern border

To the editor:

Ever since the Korean War the U.S. has engaged militarily foreign countries to protect another from invasion — Formosa (Taiwan), Vietnam, Grenada, Honduras, Chad, Kuwait and Yemen. We paid for these actions with our own money and blood. Thousands of young men and women were sacrificed to protect foreign countries.

Just the other day it was reported that our president talked to the Ukrainian president about the U.S. standing behind them to protect their territorial border and country’s sovereignty. As far as I know we have no treaty with them nor are they a NATO country. Maybe Joe and his son have some financial interests that they are worried about. So apparently a lot of other countries’ borders and sovereignty are more important than what’s happening on our southern border.

Mr. President, “It’s an invasion, and our own sovereignty is being violated.” Do something about it instead of worrying about another country we have no treaty with.
