To the editor:

What a great day here in St. Cloud for a Friday afternoon at the ball park. Saint Cloud State baseball opened their home game schedule against Mankato State with sunshine and near 70 degree temps. Rules for attendance allowed for fans to attend the games as expected. What wasn’t expected was the chance to meet the Davis family from New Ulm along with some of their friends after the game. A brief meeting to say hi. The welcome mat is always open for them at the ball park. The Hoffman family and the Davis family had sons on the St. Cloud State team in the past years and their returning to the ball brings back memories of top shelf ball playing.
