To the editor:

For nearly a year, many of us have made an effort to support local restaurants as they work hard to deal with the challenges of staying open through the Covid 19 pandemic. Since we may have several more months before all of us feel safe eating out, our local DFL committee recently decided to make this a group effort by choosing a different restaurant in Brown county each week and encouraging our local supporters to get take-out meals from that establishment if they aren’t ready to dine in yet. Last week we promoted supporting Plaza Garibaldi and this week we are encouraging people following us on social media to get meals from Turner Hall. We hope that we, and other groups and individuals, will continue to find ways to support local restaurants and other businesses throughout Brown county in the upcoming months.
