To the editor:

“Silence is Golden” until it is not. There is no leadership coming from the top of the Republican Party, not from Vice President Pence, nor from Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell or from South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, and certainly not from President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani.

Maybe it can come from the bottom of the party — that would be you, U.S. Representative Hagedorn, State Senator Dahms, and Representative Torkelson.

Democracy, as we know it, is being threatened and weakened by the actions of President Trump. We need local Republican leadership to tell us this was a fair and honest presidential election. Can the three of you please do that?
