Andrea Boettger for City Council President
To the editor:
New Ulm is blessed to have two excellent candidates running for City Council President, Andrea Boettger and Larry Mack. Both are great candidates and possess qualities to lead the council.
We support Andrea Boettger for the following reasons. First and foremost, Andrea has a significant professional background that would benefit the city tremendously. Her 15-plus years of working in professional settings has given her a broad base of experience and knowledge that is needed to lead our city council going forward. This includes banking, finance, fundraising, human resources and business operations. She is an experienced business manager and the current Executive Director for Turner Hall. She understands budgeting, contracts and building operation challenges.
In addition, Andrea has always been a strong community volunteer serving as a Board Member for the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce as well as serving as past chair for the Willkommen Committee, past board chair for the Grand Center for Arts and Culture, volunteer for all of the city festivals and last but not least the President and Co-Founder of The Women’s Forum, a 501(c)3 organization that empowers women personally and professionally to achieve success.
Andrea is a forward thinker with a proven track record of success that is evident in her leadership skills in our community. She will represent and advocate for the City of New Ulm, not only businesses but our residents as well.
