Consider God’s judgment

To the editor:

Matt Dorfner of radio station KJLY just reminded his listeners that there have been 210,000 deaths in the United States from the COVID-19 virus. This is a terrible statistic, and we must keep ourselves, and more importantly, our friends, families, and acquaintances safe by doing all the things suggested by the CDC. Hand washing, mask wearing, and social distancing are all actions that will help keep the number of COVID-19 deaths from increasing.

Then Mr. Dorfner told his listeners another statistic: 862,000 babies died in the United States because of abortion in 2018.

When you go into the voting booth or mark your absentee ballot, ponder these important numbers. Mr. Dorfner continued his message by citing Ezekiel chapter 9 where God punishes with death those in Jerusalem who do not lament the evil being done in the city. There are people who don’t read the Bible because they don’t like the hard things they read there. One has only to look at the trees as they turn from green to brilliant colors ranging yellow to crimson-red to be reminded that we are not our own; we belong to the One who set the planets in their orbits and named the stars after He fixed them in the vast universe. There will be a reckoning on those of us who allow the intentional demise of the most vulnerable among us.

People fear the overturning of Roe vs Wade, but we must fear God more. I hear arguments that back-room abortions will harm women if abortion were to be made unlawful, but every single child dies in an abortion. Please consider the judgment of God and vote accordingly.
