Wear masks to protect others
To the editor:
I recently shopped at the New Ulm ALDI and was very impressed with the work that they do to protect us from the virus. They had sanitizing stations for their carts, one-way arrows for their aisles, masks and protective plexiglass for their checkout clerks. They also have the first hour after opening on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the elderly and those with compromised immune systems of which I qualify under both terms.
The one discouraging thing that I saw was two women that came in without masks. Everyone else, clerks and customers, wore masks. I wanted to tell them that I wore a mask to protect them, why weren’t they wearing one to protect me and also why in the world would they come without masks during that particular time.
