We need churches more than candy

To the editor:

Gov. Walz recently allowed a candy store to open despite many other businesses forced to remain closed. That candy store had 250 people inside. What about social distancing? Does the candy store operator have DFL connections?

On the other hand, churches were limited to no more than 10 people. We can’t blame several church leaders in Minnesota plan to override the governor and re-open churches next week, although with some restrictions. If the candy store can be open, so should churches.

After all, which is more beneficial to human beings?
