Autofest canceled this summer
To the editor:
It is with great sadness that we announce New Ulm Autofest 2020 Car & Cycle show is cancelled.
New Ulm Autofest is a free car show which thrives off of the gracious generosity of our sponsors. We feel that cancelling this year’s show is the right thing to do for both the health and safety of our participants as well as out of reverence for our donors that may have been hit hard by this pandemic financially.
We thank all of our participants and sponsors for all the support you’ve shown us in the past. Please keep up with us on our Facebook page as we will be posting cruise nights, as well as a potential rescheduled movie night later in the summer! We can’t wait to see you all back for our belated 20th anniversary show in 2021!
And a Big Thank You goes out to Bryce Boelter, Tom Martinka, Vic Klassen, Brian Sieve & Pete Macho for starting a New Ulm Car Cruise night. These New Ulm residents went out of there way to get this organized with about 4 cars to start and it has taken off with over 50 vehicles last cruise. Putting a lot of smiles and waves as we cruise the streets of New Ulm. Bryce has this Friday’s May 15 cruise route is set up to go past the essential workers In New Ulm
Including the Allina Hospital, Police & Sherriff’s department along with the 2 New Ulm Fire stations and all of the local grocery stores. Leave Target parking lot by 6 pm. Everyone welcome old & new vehicles.
The New Ulm Autofest Club has partnered with Bryce and his crew to get the word out about these cruises.
