Heartbeat of America

To the editor:

I am writing to comment on The Journal editorial on Friday May 17, “U.S. birthrate becoming an issue.” The Journal goes on to say birth rates in the United States have dipped to historic lows, causing ramifications of fewer children being educated in colleges, smaller workforce, slowing economy, fewer tax payers to support local, state and federal governments.

Think about the 60 plus million people that were killed through abortion since 1973, plus hundreds of thousands of their would-be descendants that could be walking the earth today and contributing to our society. Instead, we have destroyed their God-given rights and gifts of intelligence, caring and loving, helping others and all other accomplishments of merely existing, including paying taxes!

It is common knowledge that murder is against the law of God, and likewise, murder is against the law of our country. If someone murdered a two-year-old, a teenager, a husband, a wife, that person would end up in jail and rightly so. Therefore, we should not be murdering our innocent babies. Period!

Abortion is not health care! Planned Parenthood has turned abortion into a profitable business. This has to STOP! The movie “Unplanned” tells the saga well. It is a “must see!”

The solution to lower birth rate in the U.S., according to The Journal editorial, is to convince our political leaders that we are not “full” here in America and encourage more legal immigration!

Is it possible that the lower birth rate in the U.S. is a direct result of abortions? There were 638,000 abortions performed in the state of Minnesota. That’s nearly 14,000 babies murdered every year over the past 46 years, which means that a baby is killed every 37 minutes of the day, just in Minnesota alone!

God created man and woman and instructed them to pro-create and replenish the earth. Life is God’s greatest gift to mankind!

The good news is, the state of Alabama signed a law to ban abortions, unless necessary because of a mother’s health. This law also makes performing an abortion a felony in nearly all cases. Missouri also passed an 8-week abortion ban. Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio and Georgia also have approved a fetal heartbeat ban on abortion. A similar ban on abortion has been passed in North Dakota and Iowa, but the will of the people have been struck down by liberal judges.

Existence begins at conception, and that human being has inalienable rights, as stated in the Declaration of Independence.

Thanks to President Donald Trump, who has energized the prolife movement! We pray that all the “Hearts of America” will join in a rescue these innocent babies. We look forward to regaining “Respect for Life” one state at a time!

We gaze into the beautiful eyes of a baby and anxiously await that first smile. From the baby’s first step, to walking across the stage on graduation day in cap and gown, what a proud moment! It’s called “Life.”

With prayerful “hope” and “thanksgiving” we acknowledge God as our “creator” and our “judge!”
