‘Unplanned’ movie for all voters

To the editor:

I agree with the letter on Saturday, entitled, “Movie well worth seeing.” Since the movie “Unplanned” will be shown at the New Ulm Theater at least until Wednesday, I would encourage all eligible voters to go and see it. In light of what many far left Democratic candidates are proposing in regards to the abortion/infanticide of unborn children up to and even after birth, the voters need to understand just what that entails.

Below you will find a summary of the latest Minnesota Democrat and Republican Party platforms concerning the sanctity of human life. Remember God’s command that says, “Do not kill,” compare the platforms, and your choice of party candidates should be clear. Vote pro-life, not pro-abortion.

Democrats: We believe unequivocally, that every woman should have access to quality reproductive health care services, including safe and legal abortion. We will continue to stand up to Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood health centers, which provide critical health services to millions of people. We will continue to oppose and seek to overturn federal and state laws and policies that impede a woman’s access to abortion, including by repealing the Hyde Amendment.

Republicans: We recognize the sanctity of human life and the central role of the family in our society. Therefore we believe that every human being, born and unborn, has an inalienable right to life from conception to natural death. Partial birth abortions, forced taxpayer funding of abortions, abortions performed on minors without parental consent are wrong and should not be forced on people of Minnesota by their government.
