To the editor:

I just finished reading a book entitled, “The Biggest Lie in the History of Christianity,” by Matthew Kelly. If you haven’t already read it, please read it!

The false promises from our secular culture that claim will make us happy in this world are just that, “False Promises.” The more we get what we think we want in this “Feel Good Society,” the more we want. You simply never get enough of what you don’t really need. If we are hurting others by reaching our goal, happiness will surely fade into nothingness.

For example: Infanticide.

Virginia’s Democrat Gov. Ralph Northam is promoting the right to kill a newly born baby. After a botched abortion, the mother of the baby can decide, together with her doctor, whether to kill the baby or let it live.

New York’s Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently signed a state law that a baby can be killed right up to the infant’s due date, to ensure the right of a mother to kill her baby, in the event that Roe v. Wade would be overturned by the Supreme Court.

Planned Parenthood continues to perform abortions with taxpayers’ money and sell the baby’s body parts for a profit. No disciplinary action has been taken up to present. It is grotesquely inhumane!

Pregnancy is not an illness or a disease, but birth control pills have been issued through Obamacare at no cost. But when President Trump administered rules that would allow more employers to opt out of this provision by claiming religious objections and on moral grounds, U.S. District Judge Wendy Beetlestone blocked Trump’s ruling in Pennsylvania. A federal judge in California also blocked Trump’s ruling in California, New York and 11 other states including Washington D.C. Taking the birth control pill flushes the living embryo out of the uterus. It is murder, pure and simple.

Since the 2018 midterm election, Democrats have gained control in the House of Representatives. They are presently voting against “prohibiting” infanticide, which means they will permit killing a new born baby at will! Are we creating a “Culture of Death?”

We must take action and speak out against this Socialist movement, with their lies and false promises infiltrating our lives and the lives of our children. Our country was founded on Christian values and “right to life for all.” We all have a responsibility to conquer evil in the world and to nurture “Hope in Our Hearts.”

In the State of the Union Address, President Donald Trump emphatically called for an “End to Abortion!”

We finally have a president who is supporting Christianity and bringing God back into our lives!

In spite of the opposition from the party of Nancy Pelosi, President Trump stands strong for the people of this, “Our United States.” We need to stand strong and united with him!

Our prayer is to “Eradicate Evil” and “Unite Our Country.”
