U. S. Highway 14
To the editor:
Moving freight to south and north,
Taking it to every coast,
Shifting goods both back and forth
Go the trucks that New Ulm boasts.
From this junction of two roads,
U.S. One Five and Fourteen,
Means New Ulm trucks haul the loads
Here and there and in between.
But where is the four-lane road
We were promised years ago?
Did the money we bestowed
To some other places go?
This new road would help us grow.
Industry and people move
To the place that says, “Hello!”
That’s the place that they approve.
Give us the new road as planned,
Then our businesses will soar.
Then New Ulm will grow; expand
Trucks will open up the door.
